Fund Seeks Part-time Communications Specialist

The Fund for Our Economic Future (Fund) seeks a capable and creative Communications Specialist skilled in communications, marketing and/or development, and who has a strong interest in economic and community development, urban planning, innovation, workforce development, land use, transportation, and/or economic opportunity. The Communications Specialist will be supervised by the Director of Communications but will have the opportunity to work closely with all Fund staff.

Communications is an integral part of our Fund’s work and key to realizing our Growth & Opportunity mission. If we are to achieve economic growth that is shared by all, we must amplify and increase the visibility of our research, effectively advocate for strategies, policies and practices that can advance improved job creation, job preparation and job access, and strengthen the voice of collective philanthropy on uncomfortable but critical economic issues, most notably, systemic racial exclusion.

Specifically, the Communications Specialist will support several Fund communications activities. Examples include assisting with the design and creation of collateral materials; creating visually appealing and informative presentations; developing content for newsletters, blogs and the website; drafting press releases; managing our social media presence; and developing multi-media content, including videos and podcasts.

Additionally, we seek someone who is comfortable with data management and who can update and maintain our contact database, and update and improve our tracking of member engagement and communications-related activities. Other activities may include research on prospective sources of funding and drafting of grant reports and proposals.
