Thanks to a grant from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, the Akron Global Business Accelerator soon will have a new multipurpose space that will include a reception area, multiple collaboration areas and a cafe, according Anthony Margida, CEO of the accelerator.
The Morgan Foundation’s grant for the accelerator project was among more than $3.2 million the nonprofit group awarded at its February meeting to organizations that promote entrepreneurship in Northeast Ohio, according to a news release. The Fund for Our Economic Future of Northeast Ohio was awarded $500,000 over the next three years to bolster its strategic direction around growth and opportunity, and JumpStart Inc. received $1 million over three years to support the expansion of the Burton D. Morgan Mentoring Program to serve companies in new sectors.
