Fund Adds Communications Manager; Team Well-Positioned to Support Continued Economic Revitalization and Collaboration in Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND–Sept. 20, 2010–The Fund for Our Economic Future is proud to announce that Molly Johnson has joined the staff as communications manager. In her new role, Johnson will manage internal and external communications for the Fund. She will focus on maximizing awareness of the Fund and educating and engaging key stakeholders about the organization’s mission and initiatives.


The Fund recently announced two additional new staff members and the promotion of two others, including Chris Thompson who has transitioned into a new role as director of funder and regional engagement. In this position, he will work to broaden and deepen support for Advance Northeast Ohio, the region’s economic action plan.


“The Fund is a dynamic initiative and our team is evolving to better meet the needs of our members as they champion the long-term economic revitalization of Northeast Ohio,” said Fund President Brad Whitehead. “Collaboration and communication are integral components in advancing Northeast Ohio and sustaining economic growth and competiveness. Molly’s experience suits this charge well and further positions the Fund as a catalyst for change in the region.”


Prior to joining the Fund, Johnson was a corporate communications manager at the Cleveland Clinic. She has previously worked at Fleishman-Hilliard International Communications. She graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
