As announced earlier in September, the Fund for Our Economic Future is supporting Workforce Connect, an important building block in Cuyahoga County’s workforce development ecosystem that will help employers find the right skilled talent and residents connect to family-sustaining careers. Based on successful models implemented in other major urban areas, Workforce Connect will leverage three sector partnership intermediaries to bring employers together and jointly develop solutions to short- and long-term talent needs, focusing on the manufacturing, health care and information technology sectors.
Workforce Connect is searching first for an organization to implement a sector partnership in manufacturing. All interested organizations should respond to a Request for Letters of Interest by October 4 at 10 a.m.
Interested organizations need only a passion for strengthening the workforce development system in manufacturing and be a nonprofit or public sector organization (or partner with one). More information can be found at www.wf-connect.com.
