Chris Thompson might not be a celebrity, but he’s well known in local public policy circles.
He’s also pretty well known among the fly fishermen who prowl the rivers of Northeast Ohio for steelhead trout, but more on that later.
For the past nine years, Thompson has been director of regional engagement for the Fund for Our Economic Future, which coordinates with a broad swath of the region’s chambers of commerce and economic development entities. Before that, he was a public relations professional and, even earlier, a valued member of this newspaper’s editorial staff.
Now, Thompson is setting out on his own, as a consultant to local governments and other entities, with a focus on helping them to foster and implement collaborative efforts. As of July 1, he’s working as CEO of his new firm in Strongsville, Regional Physics.
