Bill Seelbach serves as a trustee of Fund member The George W. Codrington Charitable Trust. He is currently a senior advisor with The Riverside Company, the country’s largest private equity firm focusing on the smaller end of middle market companies. From mid-2003 through 2006, he was the president and CEO of the Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), a nonprofit organization working to build Ohio’s aerospace economy. Prior to OAI, Mr. Seelbach was president of Brush Engineered Materials Inc. (BEM), a $750 million NYSE company focused on high performance engineered materials. Earlier in his career, Mr. Seelbach founded a private equity firm and was a partner at McKinsey & Co.
Mr. Seelbach was the founding president of Cleveland Tomorrow. He serves as chair of the JumpStart board of directors, and serves on the boards of University Circle Inc., Playhouse Square Foundation, and University School, as well as several corporate boards.
In 1992, Mr. Seelbach received the regional Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Ernst & Young. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Operations Research from Yale University.
